Global Learning Access (GLA) is a Silicon Valley partnership-based organization anchored on providing 21st-century skills in teacher training and professional development. It is dedicated to the transformation of teaching and learning through the training and adoption of critical skills that empower educators to meet the demands of teaching in the 21st century - everywhere, all the time, on any possible platform, and supporting any style of learning.
This is an introductory self-paced, online course with an emphasis on getting participants prepared for integrating technology into their classrooms.
Creating the catalyst for change, the CATALYST course trains participants to leverage cutting-edge technologies in developing engaging and rigorous learning activities that prepare students for an AI infused environment. Participants will learn to create materials that help colleagues become comfortable with a range of open source technologies, including collaboration tools, digital media, and generative AI.
Designed to be practical and hands-on, CATALYST focuses on selecting and using appropriate technologies across various curricula. It emphasizes building critical skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity, ultimately enhancing language skills, technological fluency, and academic confidence in all learners.
This course gives participants the opportunity for virtual collaboration with peers and the instructional team. Engage follows the Catalyst training agenda and builds on the skills learned there with guided learning and workshops.
This course introduces you to the exciting world of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI). You'll gain a foundational understanding of what Generative AI is, how it works, and, most importantly, how you can leverage it to enhance your productivity and creativity in the workplace. Through engaging modules, practical activities, and assessments, you will learn to use Generative AI tools for tasks like writing, data analysis, idea generation, and more, regardless of your prior technical expertise. By the end of this course, you'll be equipped to confidently integrate Generative AI into your workflow and unlock new possibilities in your professional life.
This course aims to provide practical knowledge and skills for effective English communication in the workplace. With a focus on speaking and listening, the course will improve student fluency in workplace conversations, meetings, presentations, and video conferencing. The course will emphasize practical, professional situations such as exchanging information, negotiating, interrupting and letting others speak, persuasion, being tactful, and admitting and denying, in order to build student confidence in professional conversation.
