Global Learning Access is proud to be part of the Department of Education and the Private Sector Jobs and Skills Corporation (PCORP) Enhanced SHS Work Immersion Program, particularly in leading the critical teachers' training component. Through our CATALYST: Educator's EdTech Training in the Age of Generative AI, we've successfully equipped over 200 DepEd teachers and school administrators from 15 pilot schools across the Philippines with essential skills to leverage cutting-edge technologies in their classrooms. Our Silicon Valley expertise, delivered during comprehensive training sessions in Manila (July 2024) and Cebu (November 2024), empowers Filipino educators to prepare students for an AI-infused workplace through engaging, rigorous learning activities that build critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
As this innovative public-private partnership progresses toward full implementation in the 2025-2026 school year, Global Learning Access remains committed to transforming Philippine education for tomorrow's global workforce. Our blended learning approach—combining self-paced modules, instructor-led sessions, and mentor-guided hands-on experiences—provides educators with lifelong, transferable skills that complement the broader efforts of government and industry to enhance student employability. With the current administration acknowledging the importance of teachers' professional development within this initiative, GLA stands ready to expand our impact by training more educators, developing specialized curriculum aligned with industry needs, and helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and workplace readiness.
In collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Private Sector Jobs and Skills Corporation (PCORP), Global Learning Access (GLA) has launched the CATALYST training program—a transformative initiative that champions EdTech and artificial intelligence for educators nationwide.
In 2013, the inaugural rollout in Pangasinan focused on preparing teachers with 21st-century learning tools and strategies, empowering them to integrate innovative digital content creation tools, and blended learning into their classrooms. With over 100 trained educators and support from both national and local education leaders, the program sets a strong foundation for scaled nationwide adoption.
This initiative is part of a broader mission to strengthen public-private partnerships in education and workforce development. Through CATALYST, GLA is paving the way toward a digitally empowered education system aligned with the evolving demands of future jobs.
